Frequently Asked Questions

What is a doula?

A doula is a non-medical professional trained in childbirth who provides emotional, physical, and educational support to a mother who is expecting, is experiencing labor, or has recently given birth. Their purpose is to help women have a safe, memorable, and empowering birthing experience.

When should I hire a doula?

It is recommended to hire a doula as soon as possible. However, they can be beneficial at any stage of your journey, even if hired later in pregnancy.

How do I get started?

Book a free consultation! The initial meeting provides the opportunity to ask any questions you may have and allow me to better understand your birthing needs.

What about payments?

Once it is determined that I am the best fit for your family, a 50% non-refundable retainer is required on the date of contract signing. The retainer is necessary to secure your expected due date and is applied to the package price. The remaining balance is then due by 36 weeks' gestation. Should travel time exceed 2 hours, an additional $100 is to be added to the total package price.
